RCND is who and how we gather. We've gathered alongside hundreds of families grieving the violent loss of a loved one.
ON THE STREET, IN COURT, THROUGH GRIEF, OVER DECADES:
We strengthen community through sacred attention and public grief. We respond with embodied compassion to violence that would have neighbors suffer alone. We do the slow work of trust, holding space for the courage that healing and accountability require.
WE GATHER WITH AND SUPPORT GRIEVING NEIGHBORS IN OVERLAPPING WAYS:
Community Vigils are a time to support the families of homicide victims. We gather at the site a loved one was taken to mourn and remember.
Grief Support Circles are monthly meetings for families to come together, mourn, and heal.
Court Accompaniment provides volunteers to support victims' families during their loved one's homicide trial or other court proceedings.
